Technomed partners with AHSN KSS to launch new AF Detection Service
Technomed’s ECG On-Demand service provides fast and accurate interpretation directly to the point of care to the same quality as the local secondary care trust is quick to mobilise and be adopted by HCA’s and GPs on site.
The latest project to go live is at Sunnymeed Practice in Woking where clinical pharmacists will be using AliveCor devices to screen for AF. Positive results will be referred to an ECG clinic where Technomed’s remote interpretation services will be utilised to provide full test results within 24 hours. Technomed’s Holter analysis service is also being trialed in the practice, holter reports are returned to the referring GP within 24 hours negating the need to refer into their secondary care trust.
Jen Bayly, Enhancing Quality Heart Failure and Atrial Fibrillation Programme Lead said
“Collaborative working is key to the KSS AHSN Alliance for AF project mobilising a variety of interventions to support Primary Care. Working closely with Technomed and all the Alliance for AF member organisations has enabled ‘waves of change’ to be tried out and the impact measured in practice, this has increased the spread of innovation and technology for faster, better outcomes for NHS patients.”
